Betty June Agans, 81, of Washington passed away at 10:35am Sunday December 12, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on June 7, 1929 in Peoria the daughter of Clarence and Lucille Giebelhausen Reed. She married Francis L. Agans of Camden, IL on August 5, 1951 at Glad Tiding Assembly of God Church in East Peoria.
Surviving is her husband of Washington, their children Janet (Wesley) Gingrich of Washburn, Sandra (Kent) Beck of Brighton, MI, Kenneth Agans (Husband of the late Doris) of Washington, David Agans of Peoria, and Linda (Dennis) Decker of Washington. Further surviving are 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren as well as one brother David (Vicky) Reed of East Peoria and one sister Jean Horn of Pekin. One grandson Chad, one brother and her parents preceded her in death.
Betty enjoyed camping with her family and Sunday afternoon family gatherings in their home. She like working in her yard and enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets to collect nic nacs.
From her youth she has been active in her church and in past years a Sunday school teacher and an accomplished violinist.
Funeral services for Betty will be 11am Wednesday Dec 15th at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria with Rev. Fred Doughty officiating. Visitation will be one-hour prior to her services at the church. Burial will follow her service at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
