Mrs. Shirley A. Tucker, age 73, of Dobson, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born on December 29, 1936 in Surry County to the late Roland and Olive Speaks. She was a member of New Home Church of Christ.Mrs. Tucker is survived by her loving husband, James Monroe Tucker, of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Melissa Tucker, of Ararat, four brothers, Jimmy R. Speaks, of Pilot Mtn., Terry G. Speaks, of TN, Dennis S. Speaks, of King, and Junior Speaks, of Yadkin Co., three sisters, Mary J. Coe, Rhonda K. Wolfe, and Teresa S. Coalson, all of Dobson, one special niece, Shannon Speas, one special great-nephew, Alex Hutchins, one special great-niece, Brianna Speas, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her special grandmother, Ola “Ma Ma” Simpson Moser.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at New Home Church of Christ with Rev. Tim Smith and Rev. Ricky Spencer officiating.
