Beech Island, SC – Entered into rest Sunday, December 12, 2010, Mr. Hiram Wesley Whittle, 84, husband of Florence Atkinson Whittle of Beech Island, SC.
Mr. Whittle was born in Birmingham, AL and resided in Beech Island, SC. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Beech Island. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a past Master of Andrews Masonic Lodge #391.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Anne W. Jarrett and husband Ted of Beech Island, SC, Mary Katherine Whittle of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Elizabeth Cahill, Wesley Whittle; brother: Gardner Whittle of Beech Island; sisters: Juanita Gable, Mable Dukes, both of Columbia, SC, and Annie Ruth Lybrand of Lexington, SC. Mr. Whittle was predeceased by his parents: Eugene and Carrie Gardner Whittle; brother: James Whittle, and sister Evelyn Cromer.
A graveside memorial service will be held Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Hammond Cemetery in Beech Island, SC with Rev. Frank Barker officiating.
