John William "Jock" Wheatley Sr., 81, passed away Saturday December 11, 2010, at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was born in Jefferson County, KY to Jesse F. and Anna (Reeve) Wheatley.
John was a retired Welder and Maintenance worker at Porcelain Metals Corporation, with 41 years service.
He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Parish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 50 years, Alice M. Wheatley.
Survivors include his children: Mary Ann Kremer (Larry), John W. Wheatley Jr. (Debbie), David W. Wheatley (La Donna), Kevin J. Wheatley (Mary Bee), and Christopher S. Wheatley (Helen). 14 Grandchildren; 9 Great
Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Jesse and Leroy Wheatley; 4 Sisters: Catherine Duvall, Dorothy Reynolds (Jimmy), Clare Miles and Mary Helen Eicher (Sonny); and a Sister-In-Law: Wanda Smith.
Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Helen Campus, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2 - 9 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
