Mary M. Poland, 81, of Rocky Hill Road, died peacefully Friday at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late James M. Poland.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Hammond) Holland. She had lived in Scituate for 60 years. She was a CNA with Oak Crest Manor in Scituate before retiring.
She was a loving Mom to Nancy A. Esau of Pawtucket and James M. Poland, Jr. of Scituate, sister of James Holland of East Providence and Grandmother of Meghan Spirko and Lindsay Anspach. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Karen M. Fitzgerald and Maureen Poland and sister of the late Frederick and Joseph Patrick Holland, Nancy Talanian and Margaret “Marge” Davis.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph Church, Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial Private. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm.
