Vasken "Vars" Elloian 90, of New Silver Beach Road, N. Falmouth and formerly of Zenith Drive, Worcester died Thursday, December 18, 2003, in Falmouth Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 66 years Mary (Krikorian) Elloian, 2 sons and their wives Alan and Carol Elloian, Richard and Cynthia Elloian, 3 granddaughters Sarah, Andrea and Cynthia Elloian all of N. Falmouth. 2 sisters Virginia Giragosian of Warwick, R.I. and Margaret Merakian of Worcester. Nieces and nephews. 2 brothers Arthur Elloian and John Elloian predeceased him.
Vaskin was born in Lynn son of Garabed and Ester (Yergourian) and had resided in Worcester most of his life. He owned and operated Master Wheel and Transmission Service on Chandler Street from 1954 until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of The Armenian Church of Our Saviour, and was an ASC Certified Mechanic. He trained aviation mechanics for the military. He was an avid reader and an ardent fisherman.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m. in The Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 5-7 pm at Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A Dahngark Service will be held during the calling hours. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester.
