Mary S. (Mackay) MacDonald of Needham died on Sunday December 21st at Wingate of Needham. She was 82 years old. Mrs. MacDonald was a resident of Needham for over 40 years. She was an active member of the Newton Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Mrs. MacDonald was a member of the Ladies Aid Society. Mary was responsible for providing many dinners and receptions for the church. She worked for many years as a caterer and in later years as a home companion in the Needham and Newton area. The beloved wife of the late Stewart C. MacDonald, she leaves her children Richard G. and his wife Sandra MacDonald of Dover, Mora S. and her husband Kevin MacDonald of Needham and Beth Lorraine and her husband Robert T. Timmerman II of Needham. She was the cherished grandmother of Stewart C., Kelly S., Jonathan S., Robert C., and Whitney E. MacDonald and Robert T. III, Sarah R. and the late Stewart C. and Caroline A. Timmerman. A Funeral service will be held at the Newton Presbyterian Church 75 Vernon Street Newton Corner on Tuesday December 23 at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the church from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon prior to the service. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
