CW4 (Retired) Thomas Franklin Anderson, 86, Clarksville, died Monday, December 6, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Chaplain Charles Currie and Chaplain Edward A. Coy officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with full military honors. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 17, 1924 in Frankfort, KY son of the late Morgan Anderson and Hattie Jones Anderson. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mae Anderson Cook, Alma Anderson Padgett, Mabel Anderson Moore, and Sarah Anderson Smith. Mr. Anderson was a retired CW4 with the US Army. He served with the Army Air Corp during WWII, and the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Era. He served as manager of Employment Security Office, Director of Personnel of Montgomery County, Magistrate of Quarterly Court, President of the Local Humane Society, and Chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Party. He was a hobby farmer, a member of the Military Officers Association of America, a member of the First Baptist Church in Frankfort, KY, and attended the Soldiers Chapel at Ft. Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Ute (DeDe) Dobler Anderson; son, Thomas Anderson, Jr.: three daughters, Judith Anderson, Janet Anderson Conger, and Lynn Anderson Gallant; brother -in-law, Dr. Roland Dobler; sister-in-law, Lore Koch; and nieces, Joyce Sinclair, Sue O'nan, and Georganne Johnson. Military will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Clarksville Humane Society, P.O. Box 571, Clarksville, TN 37041 or to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203-2003.
