Thomas Daniel “Danny” Webb, Sr., 59, of Tifton died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Steve Tucker will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Larry Weaver, Monty Spinks, Bradley Brownlee, John Webb, Alex Aultman and Freddie Weeks will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Advance Contractors, Terry Nichols, Jasper Sears, Joy Bruce and Ernest Jones. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 6, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Webb was born on December 3, 1951 in Tift County and was the son of Bobby N. Webb and Joyce Golden Webb, both of Tifton. He was employed with Advance Contractors and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He loved his two horses, Jack and Triage and his two dogs, Bingo and Kolt. He loved farming and operating heavy equipment and loved to cook. He was also a toy tractor collector.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Sandra Fletcher Webb of Tifton; one son, Thomas Daniel Webb, Jr. of Valdosta; one brother, Steve Webb of Tifton; two sisters, Jane Grimes of Tifton and Beth Hobby of Ashburn; and one grandchild, Jordyn Webb of Valdosta.
