FALL RIVER …Everett N. “Bucky” Howard, Jr., 65, of Fall River died Friday, December 3, 2010 after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Patricia (Durand) Howard.
He died at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River.
He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey a son of the late Everett N. Sr., and Cecelia (Langton) Howard and lived in Fall River almost all of his life.
He was a long distance truck driver for 35 years. He drove for Fusaro Trucking in Assonet and Eastern Toy Distributor in Pawtucket.
Mr. Howard was a member of Amateur Poker League Area 311, former member of the Davol Fishing League and was a loyal member of the cardschat.com a poker forum. He enjoyed fixing computers and playing Texas hold em. He served in the United States Marine Corps. His family wishes to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses, Nurses’ Aides, family and friends for all of their support during this time.
Survivors include his wife, a son Everett N. Howard, III and his wife Cheryl of Fall River, 2 daughters: Sharon Melo of Fall River and her companion Brian Savaria and Laura Rose and her husband Robert of Acushnet, a sister Barbara Emond of Fall River, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 10AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Calling hours Monday 5 – 7 PM. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
