Lawrence, MA- Reverend Francis J. O’Connor, died Wednesday December 1st at the Mount Carmel Home in Manchester, NH.
Born on August 5th, 1915, in Lawrence, Father Frank was the beloved son of John and Elizabeth O’Connor.
For 57 years, Reverend O’Connor was a Roman Catholic Priest in the New Hampshire Diocese. He began his studies at St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland and was ordained May 30th 1953. Years ago he was Chaplain of the Manchester NH Veterans Associations and, Chaplain of the Mount Carmel Home in Manchester, NH. Fr. O’Connor was stationed in various parishes in the New Hampshire Diocese and assisted at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
Reverend Francis J. O’Connor is survived and will be deeply missed by his sisters, Rita M. O’Connor of Methuen, Sr. Elizabeth (Mary O’Connor) SND, of Ipswich, his brother, Reverend Joseph X. O’Connor OSA, of St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery, sister in-law Catherine O’Connor as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Reverend Francis J. O’Connor will lay in state from 2-6 on Friday December 3rd, at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. A funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 4th at 1PM at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, with burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
