Robert N. Owen, 73, of Methuen died on Friday November 26 2010 at Methuen Health & Rehabilitation Center, Methuen. Mr Owen was born in Hinesburg, Vermont where he grew up as a dairy farmer..He retired from Reliable Security in Salem, NH where he worked as a security guard for over 20 years. He also worked as a drill press operator at Parlex Corporation in Methuen. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, model trains, woodworking and working on his crafts. He spent his summers with his wife Rachel camping at Angle Pond Camp Ground in Hampstead, NH. He served as a volunteer fireman for The Town of Greenville, NH and was a member of The Greenville Firemen"s Brigade.
The widower of Rachel A. (Fournier) Owen, his family members include his daughters, Susan and her husband, Raymond Ouellet of Dracut, MA and Ann and her husband, Alfred Veins of Lewiston, ME. He also leaves his sons, David of Malden, MA, Paul and his wife, Ellen of Derry, NH and Carl of Manchester, NH. He has a brother, Richard of Vermont, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial Mass on Friday December 3 2010 at 5:00 pm in St Joseph's Church, 40 Main Street, Salem, NH.
