ZARROW, Myra (Wegman), 75, of Needham, on November 30, 2010, after a courageous
battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years
Gerald Zarrow, daughter Lisa Zarrow of Wading River, NY, son Mark Zarrow and his
wife Lynda of Reading, MA, and daughter Karen Zarrow of Needham, MA. Proud
grandmother of Rebecca and Mallory Zarrow of Reading, MA and dear sister of
Sylvia Shapiro of Newton, MA and the late Ralph Wegman of Los Angeles, CA. She
also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Myra recently retired after 41 years of teaching in the Wellesley Public School
system. She was a 50 year resident of Needham and a former director for the
Needham Library Foundation. She graduated from Framingham State Teachers
College in 1956 and enjoyed participating in reunion activities. Myra was also
an avid tennis player and loved to travel.
Interment will be private. Visiting hours are at 95 Bird Street, Needham, MA
from 1-4 on Saturday, December 4, and Sunday, December 5, 2010. A celebration
of her life will be held at the Wellesley Middle School Library, 50 Kingsbury
Street, Wellesley, MA on January 6, 2011, at 3:30pm.
