Obituary

Mrs. Helen M. (Bell) LaCourse, 94, of Methuen, Massachusetts entered into the Pearly Gates of Heaven, peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital.

She was born on April 20th, 1916 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late William and Ellen (McCarthy) Bell. Helen was educated in Saint Augustine's Grammar School and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.

She attended Saint Monica's Church in Methuen, Massachusetts. Helen worked on Distribution Control for 20 years at Raytheon Company in Andover, Massachusetts.

She was a member of the Senior Center in Methuen, she was a member of the Bradford Bowling League where she was awarded the Highest Single and the Highest Tripple in Candle Pin Bowling at the age of 91 and according to her family she was very proud of that accomplishment. Helen was also a member of a Bowling League in Salem, NH.

She enjoyed Line Dancing at the Methuen VFW, Country Western Dancing at the White Buffalo, all at the age of 91. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends while vacationing in Maine.

Helen's family would like to extend their appreciation for her caregiver, Hilda, for her excellent care and compassion.

Her daughter: Ellen Giblin of Methuen, MA.

Her son: William LaCourse of Meredith, NH.

Her sister: Barbara (Bell) Sakurai of Boston, MA.

Her grandchildren: Patti Giblin, Robbie Giblin, Billy and his wife Lisa Giblin.

Her great grandchildren: Brandon Giblin and Matthew Giblin, as well as 18 nieces and nephews and 38 great nieces and nephews.

and Sister-in-law: Evelyn Bell of Methuen, MA

She was the sister to the late: Arthur Bell, Edwin (Ted) Bell, William Bell, Freddy Bell, and Florence (Bell) Hamblet.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 4th, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Monica's Church in Methuen, MA.

Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
