Barbara J. (Winchester) Jennett 77, of Framingham, formerly of Sherborn and Naples Maine, passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Richard P. Jennett, Sr. to whom she was married for 58 years.
Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Winchester and the sister of Heather Tyler of Sudbury and the late Marjorie Higgins of Waltham. She is survived by her beloved children Richard P. Jennett Jr. and his wife Nancy of Natick, Linda (Jennett) Perusse and her husband Paul Sr. of Holliston, Laura Jennett of Ashland, David Jennett and his wife Shari of Ashland, and Jonathan Jennett and his wife Anne of New Bedford. She was the proud grandmother of Kimberly, Pamela and Allison Jennett, Paul Jr. and Christopher Perusse and Jillian Jennett and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a 1951 graduate of Waltham High School and she was the longtime accounting and office manager for the family business that she and her husband built over their lifetimes. Barbara will always be remembered for her grace under pressure, her kindness and her strength of character. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who always held family above all else. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her and she will be dearly missed by all.
A private memorial service will be held at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on November 2, 2010.
