Margie Christine Welker, 85, Clarksville, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery with Rev. Bob Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 4, 1925 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late James Irvin Atkins and Bertie Mann Atkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Welker and a grandson, Brien Welker. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Eddie Welker, Clarksville; two brothers, Rex Atkins, Lebanon, TN and Don Atkins, Clarksville; two grandchildren, Brad Welker and Mitzi McKay; two great-grandchildren, Carson and Miles McKay; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
