Mary V.Trainor, 79, of Old County Road died Thursday at her home. She was the wife of Donald E. Trainor. They weremarried for 59 years.
Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Allan and Clara (Walsh) MacDonald. She lived in Smithfield for 46 years.
Mrs. Trainor worked at the Providence Biltmore, Wrights Farm and Bryant College until her retirement. She was a member of the Smithfield Senior Center.
She is also survived by her children, Donald E. Trainor, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Smithfield and Donna M. Esposito and her husband Edward of Putnam, CT; grandchildren, Donald E. III and Ryan Trainor, Edward Jr. and Angela Esposito and Melissa Grispino; five great grandchildren and three sisters, Margaret LaRose of Bristol, Helen Floyd of Nova Scotia and Barbara Rossi of West Warwick. All of her family and friends will miss her loving smile.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield,RI 02917. Visitation in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville Tuesday 4-7 pm. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Michael’s Church.
