Mr. Edwin Levin Ellis Sr., husband of Pauline Montgomery Ellis, age 78, of East Bend passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Colorado. He was born in Saline County, Kansas on October 16, 1932 to the late George L. and Vena Gartin Ellis.Mr. Ellis retired at the rank of Sergeant with the Winston Salem Fire Department and served in the U.S Army in Italy in the 1950’s. He was of the Methodist Faith. He is survived by two sons, Edwin Ellis Jr. of Johnson City, Tenn. And Kenneth D. Ellis of East Bend; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Catherine Steel of Indiana and JoAnn Ellis of Colorado.Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Baltimore United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M with Rev. Scotty Welch and Bro. Don Collins officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery with full military honors given by Yadkin VFW Post 10346. Family will receive Friends after the services.
