Hazel Corinne Johnson Youmans, 99, of Tifton died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Maple Court Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Bruce Sack will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Grandsons, Chase A. Auer, Seth M. Auer, Lance C. Auer and T. Alan McKenzie, along with Joel Gray and Dennis Boling will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tift Regional Medical Centery Pink Ladies Auxiliary. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 27, 2010, from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Youmans was born on September 1, 1911 in Pearson and was the daughter of William Riley Johnson and Corinne Youles Johnson Wilson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Youmans; and one brother, Foster L. Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newnan. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Tift Regional Medical Center Pink Ladies Auxiliary and the Azalea Garden Club. She had lived at Maple Court Assisted Living for almost 10 years.
Mrs. Youmans is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lee R. and Frances Youmans of Newnan; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Dennis Boling of Blue Springs, Missouri; one sister, Winona Dill of Saint Simons; one brother-in-law, Tump Youmans of Alabama; five grandchildren, Chase Alexander Auer, Seth Michael Auer, Lance Christian Auer, all of Olathe, Kansas, Haley Nicole Fletcher of Blue Springs, Missouri, Connor Nicklaus Fletcher of Olathe, Kansas and Blue Springs Missouri and one step grandson, T. Alan McKenzie and his wife, Danielle of Newnan; three step great-grandchildren, Sarah Ashlee McKenzie, Joshua Caleb McKenzie and Joseph Aiden McKenzie, all of Newnan; and numerous nephews and nieces.
