Obituary

DUDLEY – Eleanora E. (Kokernak) Gadoury, 81, of Central Ave., died Sunday, November 21, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Thompson surrounded by her family. Her husband of 30 years, Henry J. Gadoury, died in 1971.

She leaves 3 sons, Donald W. Gadoury of Webster, Richard P. Gadoury of Dudley, and James S. Gadoury and his wife Maria of Woodstock, CT; 3 daughters, LuAnn Gadoury of Dudley, Jean E. Deary of Thompson and Janet E. Gadoury of Webster; 8 grandsons, Anthony, Wade, Brett, Ryan, Derek, Robert, Michael and Brian; 3 granddaughters, Erica, Carrie and Jenny; 5 great grandchildren, Christopher, Lucas, Lillian, Arianna and Damian; a brother, Robert Kokernak and his wife Lorraine of Webster; a sister, Alice Grzelecki of Webster; a sister-in-law, Sister Rose Clarisse Gadoury, with the Sisters of Saint Anne in Marlborough; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Karen Gadoury and Beverly Castrillo.

She was born and raised in Webster, a daughter of Stephen and Bertha (Fuchs) Kokernak, and lived in Dudley since her marriage in 1948. She was a graduate of Bartlett High School.

Mrs. Gadoury was a sorter in the stock room at Stevens Linen Associates for many years before retiring in 1993.

She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and visiting the casino. Her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her family.

Calling hours will be held Friday, November 26, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street,Webster. A private funeral will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 70 South Main Street, Oxford, at the convenience of the family. Donations in her name may be made to the Webster-Dudley Boys and Girls Club, 55 Oxford Avenue, Dudley, MA 01571.
