Beloved daughter of Ida May Jay and the late Franklyn Jay. Devoted sister of Owen Jay of Toronto, Paul Jay and his wife Jean of Marshfield,Suanne Jay of Naples, FL, Denise Perdios and her husband Don of Braintree, Kevin Jay of Braintree and the late Karolyn Jay. Sister in law of Stephanie Mowry and Brodie Ward both of Canada. Maureen is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Maureen was a 1971 graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and a 1975 Graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island, where she met her husband Steve. Mo was Owner and Treasurer of A Concrete Answer Inc. in Marstons Mills for the past 13 years, a company she started with her husband Stephen. Mo was an avid runner who completed three Boston Marathons, ten Falmouth Road Races, as well as many local charity road races. Mo Loved children and enjoyed spending time with all of her nieces and nephews who adored her. Mo embraced life in the same manner she faced her illness, never giving in just moving forward to a better place. Maureen will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday, November 23, 2010 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann's Church at 10:00 AM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
