Ms. Geraldine F. Amodeo , age 89 of Burlington MA, passed away December 16th Following a lengthy illness. Born in Worcester, MA, the daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Domiano) Amodeo.
Graduated Medford High in 1931, relocated to Los Angeles California in 1948. Retired as server from Lawry´s of Beverly Hills. In life her passion was travel. Her outdoor persuits were endless, whether it was horseback riding, Skiing, or Golf. Considered by many to be one of the pioneers of liberated women. She loved to read, learn new languages, and apply them to her quests, all the while maintaining strong family ties.
Ms. Amodeo is survived by her sisters; Rosemary (Navarro) Polcari and her husband Charles of Winchester, Estelle Holmes of Laguna Hills, CA, June Marzullo and her husband Anthony of Woburn, and the late Gerald Amodeo, Joseph Amodeo, Marie LeFavre, and Ethel Nealey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 1PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 19 at 01:30 PM in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, Everett, with the Rev. David Meskell officiating. Visiting Hours Friday from 11 thru 1 PM
