Obituary

WORCESTER-Anna R. (Howard) King, 97, of Worcester, died Friday, November 19th in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband, Edward T. King, died in 1967. She leaves two sons, Edward F. King and his wife Patricia of Shrewsbury and Paul H. King and his wife Jean of Worcester; two daughters, Judith A. Grady and her husband James and Ann Marie Wright and her husband David, all of Worcester; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her six siblings, Donald, John, Dorothy, Evelyn, Margaret, and Gertrude.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John and Mary (Carroll) Howard and attended South High School. Mrs. King was a clerk at Putnam Card & Gift for many years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of Christ the King Church. The King family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of the Jewish Healthcare Center for the superb care they provided for Anna.

The funeral is Tuesday, November 23rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour is from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
