Amanda Angley, 84, of Tifton died Thursday, November 18, 2010, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends will gather at visitation on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Miss Angley was born on September 7, 1926 and was the daughter of Mills Angley and Maude Yawn Angley, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Angley, who died in World War II;; and two sisters, Rachel Green and Ruby Green.
Miss "A", as she was so fondly known among her friends and family at Banner Grain and Peanut, loved helping and doing for other people. She had been a school teacher prior to her retirement. She worked for a number of years at Banner Grain and Peanut.
Miss Angley is survived by several nieces and by her family of fellow employees at Banner Grain and Peanut. She will be geatly missed by all her friends. She was of the Baptist faith.
