Obituary

WINTER HAVEN, FL - Anna E. (Argo) Keough, 90, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away on Nov 15, 2010 at the New Horizon Share Home.
She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Keough.
A native of Taunton, MA, born Nov. 17, 1919 to the late Joseph and Mary (Pereira) Argo, she moved to Florida two years ago.
For many years, she and her husband owned and operated Keough’s Produce in Taunton.
She later worked at the Raynham Junior High School as a cafeteria worker, retiring many years ago.
A communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham, MA, Mrs. Keough was past president and secretary of the Women’s Guild, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and a member of the parish Choir and Altar Guilds.
She taught CCD and was a member of the St. Ann Seniors and Raynham Sociable Senior Citizens.
She served as Catholic Charities Chairman, and was a year 2000 recipient of the Marian Medal.
Mrs. Keogh also received the Margaret M. Leahy Memorial Award in 1986, and the Our Lady of Good Counsel Award, presented by the Fall River Diocesan of Catholic Women, acknowledging outstanding dedication and support to council and parish.
In 1998, she received the Top Hat Certificate for service to the St. Vincent dePaul Society.
She leaves a son, Timothy S. Keough of Raynham; a daughter, Anne Reilly and her husband Daniel of Winter Haven, FL; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Keough of Taunton; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Kevin, Keith and Kathleen Reilly, Kim Riddensdale, Michelle Staton and Joseph “Joey” Keough; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late James J. Keough, the grandmother of the late Jimmy Keough, and the sister of the late Joseph Argo Jr., Frances Fisher and Mary Andrews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Taunton on Monday, Nov. 22nd at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann’s Church, Raynham at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial will be private at the MA National VA Cemetery in Bourne.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 21st from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Ann’s Church, P.O. Box 246, Raynham, MA 02767.
