Mrs. Helen Louise (Dias) Waterman, of Taunton, died Wednesday, November 17 in Morton Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of 56 years of Harold S. Waterman. She was born 73 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Medeiros) Dias. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Mrs. Waterman was formerly employed at Raytheon Corp. in North Dighton, Kilburn Glass Co. in Norton, and Di-Mo Tool Co. in Middleboro. She was a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She previously attended West Congregational Church.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 son: Barry Waterman of Fall River; 1 daughter: Debra L. Luis and her husband, Joe of Taunton; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ronald Dias of Middleboro.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, November 22 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Village Cemetery.
