Julia Frances Jardine, age 86, Douglas, GA, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2010 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Jardine was born on February 23, 1924 to the late William Edgar and Grace Clack Earnest. Mrs. Jardine was preceded in death by :ex husband: J. B. Jardine, Jr., sisters: Mattie Gertrude Earnest, Willie Grace James and Ellie Ruth Hunt; brothers: Ira Earnest and Alvin Earnest. She had worked at Gold Kist, a poultry processing plant, as a supply clerk. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dekalb County on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Survivors include: sons: Edgar Lee (Carolyn) Nicholson, Villa Rica, GA, Frederick Boys (Dora) Jardine, Douglas, GA; daughter: Margaret Jardine (William Henry, Jr.) Spikes, Douglas, GA; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
