TEWKSBURY - Mary C. “Celia” (MacGilvray) MacDonald, 85, died Tuesday morning, Dec.16, at the Life Care Center in North Billerica, after a long period of declining health. She was thewife of Francis G. MacDonald, who died in 2002.
She was born in Medford, Dec. 22, 1917, a daughter of the late Allan and Sarah (MacIsaac)MacGilvray. She was raised in Medford and lived most of her adult life in Medford andStoneham. She moved to Tewksbury in 1997.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Francis G. and his wife Marilyn (Avola)MacDonald of Pelham, NH, Leo J. and his wife Paula (Antonuccio) MacDonald of Tewksbury;two daughters, Mary C. MacDonald, and Jean MacDonald both of Tewksbury; one sister, IreneGuaraldi of TN; one brother, Harold MacGilvray of Medford; seven grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
She was also sister of the late John MacGilvray and James MacGilvray.
Her Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Dec. 20, in St. William’s Church. Following cremation, interment will be private.
