Gil Travassos, age 92, of Fall River, passed away November 15, 2010. Widow of Laura (Perry) Travassos & the son of the late Manuel and Emelia (Barboza) Travassos. Before retiring at age 63, he was a Laborer for the City of Fall River Parks Department. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He was a member of Tiverton Baptist Church.
He is survived by 2 Sons: Reginald and Ronald Travassos both of Fall River, a sister: Eva Souza of Somerset. 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, & several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Louis, Domingos, and Manuel Travis, Eliza Avila, Mary Lima, Georgiana Reed, & Rose Souza.
His Private Funeral Service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. FRIDAY at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, E. Taunton. Private Calling Hours: THURSDAY 4-7 P.M. At the family’s request, kindly omit flowers.
