Obituary

Helen M. (Hayes) Nolan, 79, of Walpole died November 14 in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of Paul J. Nolan.
Born in Boston, December 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (McGue) Hayes, Mrs. Nolan was raised in West Roxbury and had lived in Walpole since 1957.
Mrs. Nolan was a graduate of Boston College.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joseph W. Nolan and his wife Karin of Norfolk, Edward S. Nolan and his wife Paula of Norfolk and Kathleen F. Levesque and her husband Shaun of Wrentham.
She is also survived by her sister, Barbara McGovern of Franklin and was the sister of the late Jean Meissner.
Helen is also survived by her grandchildren, Janet, Mark, Julie, Michael, Amy, Eamon, William and Daniel and her great-grandson Andrew Joseph.
She also leaves her devoted caregiver Elizabeth Jones.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 18 from the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Passionist Missionaries, 526 Monastery Place, Union City, NJ 07087. To have known Helen was to have been inspired.
