Naomi Hurt Adams, 83, of Tifton died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Charles Spikes will officiate with burial to follow at Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas. Michael Adams, Kyle Adams, Michael Kidd, Jared Adams, Charles Adams, Christopher Tyndall and Charles Davis will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Adams was born on January 19, 1927 in Fitzgerald and was the daughter of Lon Hurt and Maggie Rathburn Hurt, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Delton L. Adams; one son, Delton L. Adams; two daughters, Linda Calhoun and Henrietta Kidd; three brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter, Cindy Adams. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons, Charles Adams of Orlando, Florida and Jared Adams of Lagrange; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
