
Evelyn Maxie Pena, 83, of 2445 Mount Cross Road, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at her residence after a two year
Decline in health. Born in Danville on May 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Maxie and Elsie Franklin Maxie.
She lived her her life in Danville and New York and was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She was married
To Oscar Pena, who survives her of the residence. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pena is survived by a son, Michael Pena, of Danville, and two daughters, Judy Pena, of
Richmond, and Marie Pena, of the residence. She is also survived by a sister, Naomi McDaniel, of the Mount Cross Road.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Maxie, and two sisters, Margaret Maxie Hearp,
And Rebecca Maxie Mitchell.
Graveside services will be held at Highland Burial Park on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 2 P.M., officiated by the Rev. Jim Stevens. The family will receive friends at Swicegood Funeral Home on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 6 until 7:30 p.m., and at other times, they will be at the residence, 2445 Mount Cross Road, Danville.
