Obituary

Donald E. Watts, 98, of Derry, NH passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Born January 21, 1912 in Londonderry, NH to the late Benjamin and Luella (Corning) Watts, he was a professional engraver by trade.
Donald retired from Bingham Inc. in MA., before opening his own company, Donald Watts Engraving, which he owned and operated with his late wife for over 10 years. Mr. Watts enjoyed fly fishing, wood working and camping. He was an avid traveler and taught himself how to play the organ. The most important thing in Donald's life was his family. He would spend time making furniture for family and friends and if you were lucky enough to get a piece of his furniture, you knew you had a real treasure.
He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years in 2008, Dorothy (Allgaier) Watts. He will be sadly missed by his children, Donna Eckels and her husband Joseph of Conway, Jennifer Czaja and her husband Thomas of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
The family received friends Friday November 19, 2010 from 10-11 am at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry with a service of remembrance that followed at 11am. The committal service was be held in Forest Hill Cemetery of Derry.
