Ronnie Turner, 62, Clarksville, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 15, 2010 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Estep and Rev. Steve Reed officiating.
Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Trenton, Ky.. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home at the funeral home.
Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Dec. 4, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN.,the son of Charlie Turner and Alta Frances Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Charles Vester Watkins, one brother Elvis Turner and one sister Frances Huffman.
He was retired from the US Army as an E-7 after 20 years and also served 2 years in Viet Nam while in the Marine Corp. He worked for Hudson Implement Co. in delivery.
He was a member of Clarksville Masonic Lodge #89.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Haley Turner of Clarksville, two sons Ronnie Dale Turner of Dover, Charles Dylan Turner of Clarksville, two daughters Pam Watkins of Las Vegas, NV., Becky (Richie) Jones of Brownsville, KY., one brother Richard (Margie) Turner of Indianapolis, IN., three sisters Joyce Lowe, Jan Whitcher, Lois Degolyer and six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Cody, Buford Watkins, Dewayne Etterline Billy Jo Wilson, Steve Talford, Billy Wayne Bridgeman, Charlie Turner and Maurice Rives.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the America Cancer Society 2000 Charlotte Ave. Nashville, TN. 37203-2003.
