David Roger Eastman, 62, passed away Nov. 11, 2010 in the loving embrace of his family.
David was born Jan. 19, 1948 in Lynn to the late Charles and Ruth (Noftle) Eastman. Dave grew up in Saugus graduating from Saugus High in 1966. He attended North Adams State leaving midway through his junior year to join the Marines spending a year in Vietnam. David was a loyal employee of the town of Danvers for 38 years until his retirement early this summer.
Dave had a vast variety of interests and always had projects. He enjoyed spending time with his family building a home in Maine. David’s family and friends benefited from his love of cooking. The upcoming holiday season was his favorite time of year.
Dave leaves his loving wife, Diane with whom he shared 37 years of marriage and a son Lonn, two brothers, Charles of Saugus and Dana and Sandra of Groveland, his mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Ruth LeDrew of Saugus, brother-in-law, David LeDrew of Amesbury and Dale and Erin LeDrew of Saugus, sister-in-law Deborah and John Bryant of Danvers, a nephew and five nieces and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister-in-law and two nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 9AM on Tue., Nov. 16, 2010 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Mon. 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in David’s name to the Danvers People to People Food Pantry, P O Box 2076, Danvers, MA, 01923.
