Thomas, Wayne E., of Marshfield, Nov 10 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Ann (Campbell) Thomas of Marshfield. Dear father of Martha Faucett of Plymouth. Devoted grandfather of Thomas and Timothy Faucett. Also survived by a sister Patricia Pitaro of East Bridgewater and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was born in Brockton, a graduate of Brockton High School and Bridgewater State Teachers College. He taught in Milton for three years , became an elementary school principal in Abington at the age of 26 before becoming the principal at Eames Way Elementary School in Marshfield for 25 years. After his retirement he was a hardware buyer for Mid-Cape Home Center. He was a member, and former President of the Marshfield Rod and Gun Club.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street., rte. 139, Marshfield on Monday at 9:00 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Christine’s Church, 1295 Main St.Marshfield at 10:00am.
Visiting hours on Sunday, Nov 14 from 2-6 pm.
Interment will be private.
