Obituary

Eva R. (Pestana) Webster, 85, a resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, November 8. She was the wife of the late Arthur D. Webster. Born and educated in Stoughton, she was a resident of South Easton for many years before returning to Stoughton several years ago. Mrs. Webster was a clerk at Marshall’s in Canton for many years before retiring 20 years ago. An avid Bingo player, she also enjoyed puzzles and all sports. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Stoughton.
Mrs. Webster is survived by her children, A. David Webster of Foxboro, Jeanne Gillis of Franklin, Joan Conley of Stoughton, Michael Webster of Worcester and Nancy Bradley of Norton. She was the sister of Angelina Denny of Walpole and the late Peggy Caratazzola, Manuel Pestana, Mary Young and Clara Pestana. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, November 12 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Eva’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
