Taunton – Howard Cudworth Gardner Jr., a long time Taunton resident, died November 7, 2010 at Morton Hospital Medical Center. He was 84 years of age. Mr. Gardner was married over 60 years to his loving wife Edith (Leocadio) Gardner. He was born in Middleboro, Ma. Son of the late Howard Gardner Sr. and Asunta (Galfre) Gardner. Howard Gardner worked for the Foxboro Co. as a printer. He belonged to the Taunton Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, baseball and was a big history buff. He also loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son Randall Gardner of Taunton and three daughters, Lorelia Turner of North Dighton, Valerie Bowers of North Dighton and Jennifer Gardner of North Dighton. He also leaves one sister Beverly Pendelton of Maine and two brothers, Richard Gardner of Georgia and Robert Gardner of Middleboro. He was the loving grandfather of six grandchildren and great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
