James Joseph Kelly, of Braintree, passed on November 3rd after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Karen Kelly. He is survived by 7 children Arthur Ponticelli, Crystal Kelly Shanks both of Brockton, Dawn Kelly, Jimmy Kelly and Frankie Kelly all of RI, Tia Kelly of Plymouth and Richard Guerra of Boston; 6 grandchildren Earl, Amanda, Tyler, Kayla, Emilia and Allysan. Girlfriend Cheryl Atkinson, 5 brothers and sisters Mary Brothers of Quincy, Joan Peirce of Taunton, Phyllis Broderick of FL, Richard Moore of VA and Arthur Moore of KS and many neices and nephews. Jimmy grew up in Boston and Quincy before moving to Braintree ten yrs ago. He worked as a roofer and was well known for his many talents of singing, building model cars, painting and most of all his jokes. He was a very energetic ,loving ,funny person who will be very sadly missed. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Nov. 8th at Vine Hills Cemetery at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Nov. 7th from 2 to 4 PM at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Children’s Hospital Cerebral Palsy Program, 300 Longwood Ave, Fegan 2, Boston, MA 02115
