Obituary

Ellison B. Jackson Jr. age 84 of Salem, NH, died Saturday at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Ellison was a life long resident of Salem, the son of the late Mary & Ellison B. Jackson Sr. He was a loving son, husband, father, and friend to many throughout his life.

Ellison was employed with the NH State Liquor Commission, Turners Dairy, and Rockingham Race Track, as a veterinary assistant until his retirement. He loved horses and was a thoroughbred horse owner and trainer, and raced horses at many of the racetracks in the east. Ellison was a World War II US Army veteran and served in Europe. He is a member of the VFW Post 8546 in Salem, a member of the Spicket Lodge in Salem, the Pelham Senior Center, and the HBPA.

He was predeceased by his son Kenneth Jackson

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years:

Son: Ellison B. III and his wife Sandra Jackson of Alton Bay, NH

3 Daughters: Bunny J. & her husband Edward Milukas of Hollis, NH
Elizabeth A. Russi of Switzerland
Susan L. McGibbon of Salem, NH

Sister: Florence & her husband Francis Cotter of Salem, NH

14 Grandchildren & Step Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews.

At the request of the family, there are no calling hours and burial will be private at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the Masonic Hall Spicket Lodge on Main Street in Salem, NH on Saturday November 6 from 1-3 PM.
