Mary I. (LaPlante) Thomson, 83, a resident of Londonderry, NH, died on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabiliation Centre in Methuen, MA.
She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Arthur & Emma (Schwink) LaPlante on November 19, 1926, educated in St. Patrick Grammar School and a graduate of St. Patrick High School in South Lawrence, MA. She worked as a Book Keeper at the Lawrence General Hospital for 36 years until her retirement in 2003. According to her family she was an avid reader of books and she loved to do cross word puzzles, and loved to iron clothes. She also loved and adored her children, grand children, and great grand children.
She is survived by her four daughters: Avis Mannion of Lawrence, MA. Karen Thomson of Londonderry, NH, Nancy Jean and her husband Gary of Wilmington, MA. and Bonnie Bencivenga of Danville, NH. as well as 13 grand children, and 19 great grand children, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. An Entombment will take place following at the St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Chapel & Mausoleum in Lawrence, MA.
