William F. McMahon, 83, of New Bedford died Wednesday December 10, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Deolinda (Carvalho) McMahon.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late James J. and Elizabeth (McPhail) McMahon, he had lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Mr. McMahon was formerly employed by the Department of Public Works for the City of New Bedford until his retirement in 1982. He had previously worked for the New Bedford Laborers Union.
Survivors include a son, Michael S. McMahon of Dartmouth; a daughter, Patricia A. Pina of Mesa, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Quintin, Lorryn Czerneski, and Edwin Pina, Jr. all of Arizona, James M. McMahon of Mahwah, New Jersey, and Olivia McMahon of Dartmouth; and 6 great grandchildren.
