OBITUARY
Westminster
Aune Linnia (Keskinen) Niinimaki, 89, died Thursday, October 28, at UMass
Medical Center in Worcester.
Aune was born in Gardner, May 3, 1921, the daughter of Henry and Hannah
(Kokinen) Keskinen. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1939
and from the Henry Heywood Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at
Henry Heywood Hospital and lastly was the school nurse at Oakmont
Regional High School.
Aune was a member of the First Congregational Church in Westminster,
the Westminster Friendship Club and the Gardner Chapter of the Order of
Eastern Star. She was a devoted wife and mother and a loved cooking and
gardening.
Aune leaves her husband of 62 years, Eino E. Niinimaki, her son Glenn and
his wife Nancy Niinimaki of Ashburnham. Three grandchildren Craig M.
and his fiancee Emily Watson of Westminster, Christopher G. and his wife
Sheena with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp LeJeune, N.C. and Courtney E.
and her husband Vincent Higgins of Boston. Her daughter Donna E.
Niinimaki died November 24, 1963 at the age of 11.
Funeral Services for Aune will be held on Tuesday November 2, at 11:00
A.M. in the First Congregational Church 138 Main St. Westminster. Burial
will follow in Woodside Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
in the Church. Contributions in her memory may be made to the First
Congregational Church 138 Main St. Westminster, Ma. 01473. Bosk
