Gertrude (Harber) Husch Jacobson, 88, of N. Dartmouth, formerly of Great Neck, NY died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. She was wife of the late Arthur A. Husch and the late Mortimer Jacobson. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was daughter of the late Kalman and Bessie (Seiler) Harber. Prior to retirement, she was an elementary school teacher in Port Washington, NY for many years. She enjoyed reading and was an avid tennis player.
Survivors include a son: Gene Husch of Cambridge, MA; a daughter: Beth Kovar of Westport, MA; 7 grandchildren: Adam, Chana, Mayta, Devorah, Esther, Nina and Suzanne; and several nieces and nephews.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
Shiva will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 – 7 P.M. at the Kovar residence, 1085 American Legion Hwy., Westport.
