Mrs. Beatrice “Shortie” Willis
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, October 27, 2010, Mrs. Beatrice Harmon Willis, 89, wife of the late Howard D. Willis.
Mrs. Willis was a native of Saluda, SC and resided in Augusta. She retired from the City of Augusta Recreation Park. Mrs. Willis was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church.
Family members include, daughters Patsy W. Kirkey of Casselberry, FL, Jean Riley (Joel) of Saluda, SC, sons Howard “Bubber” Willis (Anne) of Augusta and Tommy Willis (Debbie) of Augusta, brothers Henry C. Harmon (Lucille) of
N. Augusta, SC, John D. Harmon (Grace) of Saluda, SC, grandchildren Catherine (Glenn) Metts, Jeannie (David) Winn, Chris (Jenny) Willis, Delta (Paul) Casey, Brent (Jennifer) Willis, Heather (Paul) Shealy, Heidi (Jarrett) Cochran, Holly (Thomas) Shealy, Clint Riley, Clay Riley and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Pastor Don Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
