Laconia-----Doris A. (Mills) Powell, 80, of 60 Manfield Ct., died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Tuesday, October 26, 2010.
Mrs. Powell was born December 28, 1929 in Cambridge, Mass., the daughter of Francis and Amanda (Crepeau) Mills. Before moving to Laconia, she had been a long time resident of Sudbury, Mass.
Mrs. Powell was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sudbury, Mass. She enjoyed reading and crocheting and most of all loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband, Stanley R. Powell, of Laconia, three daughters; Susan E. Church, and her husband, Jonathan, of Groton, Mass., Cheryl A. Carley, and her husband, Joseph Jr., of Harrington Park, N.J. , Deborah A. Nilo, and her husband, Mark, of Woodstock, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Meredith Church, Melissa Church, Robert Church, Joseph Carley III, Patrick Carley, Shannon Carley, Samantha Nilo and Anthony Nilo and a brother, Donald Mills, of Phoenix, Ariz.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Private Family Services will be held.
Burial will be held at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
