Mary Roberson Harper, 73, of Wray, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, October 30, 2010 at The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Douglas with Roger Lowery officiating.
Mrs. Harper was born October 27, 1937 in Wray, Georgia to the late Rosier and Louise McSwain Roberson. She lived in the Wray community all of her life. Mrs. Harper was a homemaker and a former school bus driver for Irwin County. She enjoyed gardening, reading, Scrabble and word games. Mrs. Harper was a member of The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Douglas.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband: Ray Harper of Wray; children: Rendal (Yolanda) Harper, Sabrina Rhodes and Gala (Ray) Way all of Wray and Phillip (Rita) Harper of Plains; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother: Elizabeth Johnson, Arnold Roberson and Phyllis Cone all of Ocala, FL; special aunt: Noreen Royal of Jacksonville, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Roberson and a sister, Rose Cone.
