TAUNTON – Joseph Terrao, husband of Doris M. (Booth) Terrao, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on Oct. 27, 2010.
He was 84.
Born in Taunton, the son of the late John and Mary (Gomes) Terrao, he was a lifelong Taunton resident.
A retired plating room supervisor, Mr. Terrao worked for over fifteen years for the Foxboro Co. before retiring in 1984.
Earlier on, he was employed as a plater for the former F.B. Rogers Silver Co.
He served as Constable and was a Lieutenant with the Taunton Auxiliary Police many years ago.
Mr. Terrao was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of the Taunton Rifle & Pistol Club.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling.
Besides his wife of Taunton, he leaves four sons, John, James and Joseph Terrao, all of Taunton, and Jason Terrao of Attleboro; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, Oct. 30th at 4 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the service.
Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
