Sarah Giddens Tucker, 78, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, December 12, 2003 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Irwin County with Rev. John Gibbs, Jr., and Rev. Virgil Vickers officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Tucker was born April 8, 1925 in Irwin County, Georgia where she lived all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Osie & Elda Whitley Giddens and her husband, Denton Boyce Tucker. Mrs. Tucker was a homemaker and a former employee of Palemon-Gaskin Nursing Home and Osceola Nursing Home. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Three daughters: Anne T. Newton, Fitzgerald, Jenny T. Tucker & Kathy T. Hall, both of Ocilla; Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; One brother: Franklin Giddens, Nashville; Two Sisters: Grace Griffin, Ocilla and Louise Harper, Orlando, FL
