
Pennington, Skip, 61, of Louisville passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
Skip was a Christian by faith and retired from Vermont American Corporation (Bosch), where he was responsible for 2 patents and 2 co-patents.
He was an avid golfer and member of South Park Country Club.
Skip also loved fishing at the family lake house at Nolin Lake.
He is preceded in death by his step-father, Kenneth W. Freeberg and his grandparents, Carl and Ida Greene.
Skip is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Lea (Whitworth) Pennington; children, Todd Pennington (Bethany) and Tricia Worth (Chris); mother, Betty Freeberg; father, Donald Pennington, Sr.; brothers, Daniel Pennington, Kerry Freeberg (Sheilla), and Kevin Freeberg (Karen); sisters, Carol Richardson (Glenn), Cindy Robinson (Rick), and Linda Scottsdale (Tony); and grandchildren, Aaron Pennington, Andrew Pennington, and Breanna Worth.
Skip was the most loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend to his family and to all who knew him.
Funeral service will be 10am on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens – West.
Visitation will be from 3-9pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
